Preps.com is a huge fan of coaching staffs that don’t waste time getting offers out to blue chip prospects.  Although many coaches in the business frown on the idea of offering freshman and sophomores, this tactic helps programs increase awareness and recruits always remember who offered them first.

With that said, coming off an impressive performance on Saturday, Aliquippa sophomore Kaezon Pugh received his first of many to come offers from West Virginia.  Currently amidst a recruiting showdown for Pugh’s cousin Dravon Henry the WVU staff has just added another story line in the long saga for Henry’s services.

As special as Henry is, Pugh may end up being a bigger prospect than Henry when it’s all said and done.  Standing at about 6’1 and around 200 pounds, Pugh already looks like a D1 player as a sophomore.  West Virginia is doing everything in there power to get the Aliquippa pipeline rolling and the idea of Pugh and Henry playing together in college could make those chances stronger.

As impressive of a tailback that Pugh is, when you look at his frame you can’t help but to think about the potential he has as a linebacker.  Wherever Pugh chooses to play don’t be surprised to see the young Quip keep on adding more offers and potentially become one of the top prospects in the country.  Check Pugh’s highlights from his freshman year below.
