Something needs to be said about the work University of Michigan head coach Brady Hoke is doing.  Coming off an average season, the Wolverines continue to land the countries top prospects.

With the addition of George Campbell in the class of 2015, along with the pledge from Jabrill Peppers a few months ago, the Wolverines have landed two of the most touted recruits in the country.

The Buckeyes brought Urban Meyer in to close on big time recruits, who I might add isn’t doing a shabby job himself, but as far as landing high profile guys, I would say Hoke is kicking his rear end.

Last year, Hoke had Shane Morris locked up early and recently stole state of Michigan superstar Drake Harris from in-state rival, Michigan State, but with out-of-state commits Peppers and Campbell joining the ranks. I’m sure  Maize and Blue fans can’t wait for the showdowns between heated rivals in the Big Ten.  The days when standout receivers like Braylon Edwards, Steve Breaston, Jason Avant, and Mario Manningham chose Ann Arbor in the early 2000’s, seem to be back and Hoke has lead the storm.

Currently there’s a huge battle going on with prospects Curtis Samuel and Marshon Lattimore.  If either Michigan or Ohio State lands these recruits, it could add some more sparks to the rivalry.

From my own personal experiences around Brady Hoke, I can honestly say I get it.  Hoke has one of the most welcoming personalities I’ve ever seen from a head coach and it seems like kids and their families are buying it.

Preps.com will continue to cover the recruiting wars going on in the Big Ten and we’re very excited for the future of the conference.  Below is George Campbell’s highlight tape from his sophomore year.
