Preps.com has built our brand by covering the top prospect’s in Western PA, but now we’re making a conscious effort to put our stamp in the eastern part of the state, and what better place to start than the Philly public league.  Northeast is known for having some of the best raw talent in the city of Philadelphia and this high motor defensive end follows right in line with that tradition.

Any defensive line coach watching Northeast’s Gladimir Paul is immediately going to be intrigued by his ridiculously high motor and impressive change of direction.  Paul has the attributes that can’t be taught, and although he may be a little on the light side, he shows the pass rushing ability that equates to a difference maker on the defensive side of the ball.

With the game of football turning into a passing game, pass rushers that are athletic and can stand up are a premium these days.  Paul shows all the characteristics of the “new era” pass rusher and with a couple more pounds could certainly catch the attention of D1 coaches.  Along with the violence Gladimir plays with, we wouldn’t be surprised in a couple years to see him at around 240 pounds coming off the edge flying into the oppositions backfield for some lucky program.  We will continue to follow Paul’s recruitment along with other top prospects from the Philly area.
