#73 Alex Bookser OL/DL
Mt. Lebanon- Senor
6’6 295
It’s only right that the biggest, baddest “hog” in the Western PA gets crowned with that #1 spot. With the size, athleticism, and tenacity to be a force at the next level. It’s no wonder why the big man is being courted by The Ohio State, and potentially could elevate a sub par recruiting class for the University of Pittsburgh.

2.
#5 Rori Blair DL/TE
Upper St. Clair- Senior
6’3 220
After defying all odds, Blair separated himself early and showed why Pitt may have snagged up one of the biggest sleepers in the state. With the ability to take over games, Blair easily could have been considered the top player in the region. Blair will certainly fill a void on the defensive line once he arrives to Oakland.

#6 Dravon Henry ATH
Aliquippa- Senior
6’0 185
Seems strange seeing a “Quip” not head to University of Pittsburgh, but this dynamic playmaker has been getting it done in the “Pit” since his freshman year. West Virginia came through the back door and stole arguably the top defensive back in the northeast region. Don’t be surprised to see Henry become a contributor for the Mountaineers early.

4.
#6 Harry Randall ATH
Woodland Hills- Senior
6’0 190
Coming from a football family, Woodland Hills athlete, Harry Randall continues the rich tradition of “Woody High” playmakers. With the tools to make him one of the top athletes in the country, the Wolverine showed his versatility this year, leading his team to Heinz as the signal caller. Wherever Randall ends up landing will be very fortunate to land one of the countries most underrated playmakers.

5.
#3 Troy Simons ATH
Renaissance Christian Academy- Senior
6’3 190
Tucked away in East Hills at start up school Renaissance Christian Academy, Troy Simons may be Western PA’s best kept secret. Comparisons to Tyler Boyd have been thrown out there and if you ever had the opportunity to watch him play, you would understand. Won’t see him in many lists, but he’s easily one of the most explosive playmakers in the region.

6.
#15 Chase Winovich ATH
Thomas Jefferson- Senior
6’4 220
Clearly a mistake on our part on the initial list, we didn’t include this Michigan recruit that clearly belongs amongst the elite in this group. Winovich one of the finest in Western PA easily was the best player on the field in a majority of his games this season. With a long lean frame with potential to grow, its no wonder Winovich had just about every Big Ten school salivating over him last spring on the recruiting trail.

7.
#5 PJ Gilchrist Fulmore ATH
North Catholic- Junior
5’8 185
First underclassmen listed, Gilchrist Fulmore earned this spot in the WPIAL and State playoffs, leading his North Catholic team to a state championship. One of the toughest players in the state, this shifty back is one of the most dangerous players in the state. With another year left, the undersized playmaker looks to prove to BCS schools he deserves a division 1 scholarship.

8.
#3 Lenny Williams QB
Sto Rox- Senior
5’10 195
Temple Commit, Lenny Williams wasn’t able to follow in the same footsteps as mentor and future coach Adam DiMichele with a WPIAL championship, but this signal caller has been making plays for the Vikings for years. Possessing all the intangibles needed to play the game at a high level, don’t be surprised if you catch Lenny playing QB in Philly doing his best Manziel impersonation.

9.
#28 Shai Mckenzie RB
Washington- Senior
6’0 215
With a rare mix of size and speed, Mackenzie is one of the most complete backs we’ve ever seen at Preps.com. Whatever school lands Shai will be fortunate to land a prototypical back that has the rare ability to run you over and run by you. Unfortunately his season was cut short, but his body of work speaks for itself. Expect Mackenzie to make a full recovery and be an immediate impact at the collegiate level.

10.
#75 Michael Grimm OL
Bethel Park- Senior
6’7 323
At 6’7 323 it’s pretty hard not to find your way on the Preps Top 50. This mammoth of a lineman looks to be the anchor for the Pitt offensive line. With all the tools to be a big time guard, this giant looks to bring back memories of a Grimm from the past for Pitt enthusiast.

11.
#2 Delvon Randall ATH
Gateway- Senior
6’1 195
Seems like Randall has been getting the shaft on post season accolades, but not here at Preps.com. We give credit where credit is due and Randall is easily one of the top playmakers in the region. With a skill set to die for, Randall put the Gateway team on his back in various big games and has been a go to guy for the Gators since his sophomore year. After breaking Ohio State player Corey Brown receiving records, it’s only right he finds his way in our top 10.

12.
#42 Clintell Gillaspie ATH
Monessen- Senior
6’1 224
Anyone that follows Preps.com on twitter knows how much we love this kid. With rare size, this kid is one of the most versatile players we’ve ever seen. Currently not getting the respect he deserves, he can be credited for ending the legendary Clairton Bears winning streak. With the ability to play RB, TE, WR, and LB this kid will certainly make some head coach at the next level happy.

13.
#12 Terry Swanson ATH
Aliquippa- Senior
5’9 180
Every batman must have their Robin. The other half of the Quips two headed monster, Swanson has played second fiddle to Dravon Henry, but don’t kid yourself, this Quip is one of the top playmakers in the region and is sure to no longer play the unsung hero once he arrives at Toledo. After a stellar performance in the WPIAL championship, Swanson looks to take that momentum into college.

14.
#1 Marcus Johnson WR
University Prep- Senior
6’1 170
Easily one of the biggest sleepers in Western PA, this city league superstar is one of the smoothest playmakers in the region. With absolutely ridiculous numbers, Johnson shows flashes of greatness at times and certainly deserves to receive D1 attention. With the lack of exposure city league players have received as of late, don’t be shocked if this baller slips through the cracks and ends up breaking records at the FCS or D2 level if FBS coaches don’t get their act together.

15.
#23 Malik Hooker- ATH
New Castle- Senior
6’2 185
This Ohio State commit may have the most upside on the list. With the athleticism to be an NFL first rounder. This playmaker burst into the scene with limited football experience, but immediately proved he belonged. Headed to Columbus early, don’t be surprised if this New Castle native gets on the field sooner than expected once Urban realizes how explosive an athlete he snagged up.

16.
#7 Brett Brumbaugh QB
South Fayette- Junior
6’4 195
Seems like the legend of Brett Brumbaugh continues to grow. The 2nd underclassmen on the list, this signal caller has continued to get it done and after taking Imhotep to the woodshed it’s only right he earns a spot in the Top 15. With the size, intangibles, and bloodlines typical of a standout, don’t be surprised to see the South Fayette gun slingers stock to rise this spring.

17.
#9 Jaquan Davidson ATH
Elizabeth Forward- Senior
6’4 184
This two sport star easily could have put the pads away and received a D1 basketball scholarship, but fortunately for University of Pittsburgh he chose to stay on the gridiron and could join Tyler Boyd as a big time playmaker on the Pitt offense for years to come. Easily one of the most athletic kids on the list, he’s never had the chance to play for a competitive team, but with tremendous upside has to be considered a top 20 prospect in the region.

18.
#6 Montae Nicholson ATH
Gateway- Senior
6’2 210
May be the best looking kid on the list, this two way player commits this week and could be the icing on the cake if University of Pittsburgh lands him. With the ability to be a big time receiver or safety it will be interesting to see what side of the ball he’ll end up on. With a rare blend of size and speed Nicholson could have easily found his way in the top ten of this list.

19.
#70 Jaleel Fields DL
Aliquippa- Senior
6’3 290
The anchor of the Quips defense will be headed to WVU with his running mate and look to continue his success as a force on the defensive line. Turning down scholarships from Purdue and Cincinnati just to name a few this beast was a lock to make the top 20 on this list.

20.
#16 JJ Cosentino QB
Central Catholic- Senior
6’4 230
The Florida State Commit easily has the livest arm on the list, unfortunately for him he never got to use it with the scheme he played in. Headed down to Tallahassee to join “Famous Jameis” don’t be shocked if JJ earns the starting job once the Heisman trophy winner heads to the NFL. With outstanding work ethic, deceptive athleticism, and rocket of an arm, Consentino looks to join the long list of great QB’s from Central Cathlolic.

#3 Jordan Whitehead ATH
Central Valley- Junior
6’0 185
Whitehead will be one of the most sought out players in the country this year and rightfully so. Seems like he’s been in high school forever, but it’s finally his time to shine as the upperclassmen. Whitehead earned his notoriety as the understudy to Alabama player D’Rob Foster, but now he’s the big dog and looks to earn his status as a WPIAL legend and lead his team to a WPIAL championship like his “big bro” Foster did his sophomore year.
