The staff at Preps.com continues it’s journey of finding every prospect not only in the WPIAL, but also in the state of PA.  While browsing through game tape we ran into some impressive footage from a dual threat gun slinger that attends Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.  With all the QB hype in Philly surrounded around import QB Kyle Shurmur, seems like the city of “Brotherly Love” has neglected one of their own home grown talents.

Anyone who is familiar with Preps.com is sure to know that our scouting philosophies are a bit different from the rest of the industry.  Unlike other sites like Scout.com, Rivals.com, 247sports.com, or ESPN, we go by the doctrine  “the eye in the sky don’t lie.”  Those of you who aren’t familiar with the phrase, it basically means, toss on the tape, and let that do the talking.

When you toss on Paul Dooley’s tape you immediately start seeing the signal caller making plays all over the field using his feet, arm strength, improvisational skills, and decision making.  With our obsession over the way guys like Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, and many other QB’s in the NFL that use their feet to extend plays and allow receivers to make a play on the ball.  You should have already known Dooley was taking this past weeks “Profile of the Week” honors.

The Springside Chestnut Hill Academy leader enjoys all the intangibles that today’s quarterback needs.  With track stars coming off the edge at the defensive end position and lock down corners everywhere, the days of sitting back in the pocket and waiting for receivers to get open are over.  Today’s game needs a quarterback that can turn chaos into triumph and Dooley flashes that potential all throughout his highlight tape.

While BCS coaches are searching for their 6’6 230 pound QB’s with canon arms, the Preps.com staff will be leaving no stone unturned looking for those two and three star Johnny Manziel look alikes, reigning them top quarterbacks in the state based on their play on the field.  Check out Dooley’s profile and highlights below.
