Finestpreps.com would like to introduce the newest member of the team.  Some of you know him from his website Eastern PA recruits where he has established himself as one of the top media sources for up-to-date recruiting info on prospects in Central and Eastern PA.

For those who need an introduction, my name is Ed O’Brien (most of you may know me under my alias for videos, “J. Cleezy”. I’ve been covering high school football and basketball in Central Pennsylvania for the past 6 years and covering Eastern Pennsylvania for the last two. I am very happy to be part of the Finest Preps team and I look forward to providing coverage for Pennsylvania and all over.

With that being said, I thought I’d start in the City of Brotherly Love, where the City Championship games were played in both the Public and Catholic Leagues. While the Catholic League has always gotten its respect, the Public League has its share of great players as well. Where better to start than at the running back position. Here are the five players and their stats from this past weekend:

Hakeem Sillman (George Washington) – 24 rushes, 141 yards, 2 TD’S vs. Frankford (208 rushes, 1,695 rushing yards and 27 rushing td’s on season) – 10 carries, 134 yards

Brandon Peoples (Archbishop Wood)- 10 carries, 134 yards, 1 rushing TD (69 rushes, 618 yards, 15 rushing TD’s on season)

Desmon Peoples (Archbishop Wood) – 14 carries, 107 yards, 2 rushing TD’S (98 rushes, 800 yards, 15 rushing TD’S on season)

Dave Williams (West Catholic) – 42 carries, 228 yards, 2 TD’s vs. Bok (228 rushes, 1,5333 yards rushing, 14 rushing TD’s on season)

Jameel Davis (Dobbins) – 16 carries, 200 yards, 2 TD’s vs. Boys Latin (184 rushes, 1,151 yards rushing and 10 rushing TD’s)
What’s the common denominator for all of these players? Their teams won and all won Philly Public and Catholic League titles. Below is a video featuring these players and some clips of their performances from last weekend.

Below is a highlight tape of the backs performance last week
