Finestpreps.com takes pride in the ability to consistently introduce the world to under the radar prospects that eventually receive D1 attention. A few months ago Finestpreps.com introduced the behemoth Tyrique Jarrett to the recruiting world. Now Jarrett’s accomplice in backfield destruction will grace the front page of Finestpreps.com
Jay Barlow, a defensive end that caused just as much havoc as Jarrett in the oppositions backfield is looking for his due respect. Barlow shows in his highlight tape a ridiculously fast first step that more times than not has the opposing lineman picking his QB up from the ground.
Barlow also plays the TE position where he shows the same aggression on the offensive side of the ball with some bone crushing blocks and soft hands.
Barlow is receiving some D1 attention, but hopes his Senior year will raise his stock. Programs like Temple have already shown interest in Barlow, but he understands that with the attention teammate “Tyrique Jarrett” is receiving he certainly will have the opportunity to show college coaches he can play at a high level. .
The “Barlow” name rings bells in the city of Pittsburgh and Jay looks to be the next “Barlow” to become a “city legend” and bring home the city championship for the loaded Allerdice program.
