Things have certainly changed in the past year for Quentez Johnson, a 6’4″, 320 pound, defensive tackle from Cedar Grove High School in Georgia. Johnson was offered a football scholarship by Penn State this past Tuesday. Johnson now has offers from: Penn State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Washington State, Georgia State, and Michigan State. PREPS had a chance to speak with him yesterday about the Penn State offer.
“Coach (Sean) Spencer called me with the offer”, said Johnson. “They (Penn State) said they like the way I destroy lineman. They also said that I push the pocket pretty good and that I can move around good for my size.”
Johnson is starting to get interest from schools all over the map at this time. He currently does not have a top list of any kind right now. Johnson said, “I currently don’t have a top list of schools and distance will not play a factor in my decision.”
Check out his 2013 highlight video.
