St. Joseph’s High School in Hammonton, New Jersey, has won five straight New Jersey Non-Public Group 1 football state championships.  One of the players who helped pave the way to St. Joseph’s  2013 championship is 6’3″, 275 pound offensive guard/tackle Knikeem Lewis.  Preps recently had a chance to talk with Lewis on his recruiting status.

“I don’t have any offers yet but there are schools showing interest”, said Lewis.  Some of the schools that have either talked to Lewis or his head coach at his school are: UConn, Stony Brook, Rutgers, Temple, Penn State, and Maryland.  Although none of those schools have pulled the trigger on an offer, Lewis has received invites to several Junior Days.

“I’ve been invited to the Junior Days for Villanova, Boston College, Stony Brook, UConn, Delaware, and Bucknell”, said Lewis.  The schools that have shown interest in him are impressed by his size, strength, and the way he pushes off the ball.  So far, he’s been invited to Bucknell’s spring game.

One has imagine that he’ll be invited to quite a few spring games.  Check out his 2013 season highlights here.
