Two of the better high school linebackers in the Philadelphia area took in Junior Day at the University of Massachusetts earlier today.  Gladimir Paul and Steve Rowe both had received considerable interest from Massachusetts in the past couple of weeks.  Paul came away with an offer, bringing his total to two in the past two weeks (first one was from Temple University).   Paul currently plays defensive end for Northeast High School, but projects to be a linebacker at the collegiate level.    “They like my speed and my motor”, said Paul.  “They think that I have good size and that I can make an impact real quick”.

Rowe did not come away with an offer, but says that the coaching staff has sincere interest in him.   “They like my size and they like how I get to the ball”, said Rowe.  Rowe did receive an invitation to come to one of their prospect camps later on this year.  “They have some questions about my speed”, said Rowe.  “I’m going to go up there and show them that I have enough speed”.
