St. Joseph’s High School in Hammonton, New Jersey, recently won it’s fifth-straight New Jersey non-public school Group 1 championship in 2013. One of the main contributors to their state championship team was offensive center Derek Lomax. Lomax, listed at 6’4″, 245 pounds, is one of the up and coming lineman in New Jersey’s 2016 class.
Lomax is already starting to get lowkey interest from Division 1 schools. “I don’t have any offers yet but Old Dominion, Penn State, and Villanova have all shown interest”, said Lomax. According to Lomax, the consensus is that the coaches like his technique and his footwork. As far as camps go, Lomax says he’s been invited to Penn State’s prospect camp.
Preps.com will keep you posted on Lomax’s recruiting progress. Check out his 2013 season highlight video.
