PREPS takes a look at some of the players in Pennsylvania that Temple University has offered in the 2015 class.  Temple currently has two commits from the 2015 class, but neither one of those players are from Pennsylvania.

QUARTERBACKS

Brett Brumbaugh – South Fayette Township   6-3 , 185

Brumbaugh led his team to the Class AA State Championship in 2013.  Temple currently has a strong chance of landing him with his only offer right now being from Akron.  Don’t be surprised to see that change in the next couple of months.  Brumbaugh was lights out in that state championship game.

RUNNING BACKS

Josh Adams – Council Rock South  6-1, 182

Temple is not in contention for Adams.

WIDE RECEIVERS

D.J.  Moore – Imhotep 6’0”, 180

Currently holds offers from Temple and Western Michigan.  Moore plays on a team that runs the ball……..a lot.  He still was able to put up more than respectable numbers.  He has the advantage of college coaches coming to his school on a regular basis.  Depending on the types of offers he gets, Temple may have a shot at keeping one of the Philly kids in the city.

OFFENSIVE TACKLE

Sterling Jenkins – Baldwin  6-8, 305

Ryan Bates – Archbishop Wood 6-5, 280

Temple is not in contention for any of these players.

DEFENSIVE END

Shareef Miller – Frankford 6-5, 218

Temple  was among the first teams to offer Miller but things have drastically changed in his recruitment over the past 6 months.

INSIDE LINEBACKER

Jake Cooper – Archbishop Wood 6-2, 230

Cooper is most likely to commit to Penn State any day now.

OUTSIDE LINEBACKER

Kevin Givens – Altoons 6-2, 230 (committed to PITT)

CORNERBACK

John Reid – St. Joseph’s 5-10 180

Jordan Whitehead – Central Valley 6-0 180

Kareem Gibson – Greater Johnstown 5-10 157

Temple was never a major player for Reid or Whitehead.  Gibson was offered by Pitt a day after he was offered from Temple. Pitt is his best offer so far.

SAFETY

Jay Stocker – Coatesville  6-2, 180

Temple is not a strong candidate to land Stocker.

ATHLETE

Olamide Zaccheaus – St. Joseph’s 5-9, 180

Temple is not a strong candidate to land Stocker.
