According to multiple reports from various news outlets, Lane Kiffin has been fired from his head coach position for the University of Southern Califoria Trojans. Anybody that’s been following the program for the past few years shouldn’t be surprised.  Kiffin was handcuffed by some of previous sanctions, however, USC has been underachieving for a few years now. Upon hearing the news, the first USC verbal commit that came to mind was quarterback David Sills out of Eastern Christian Academy in Maryland.

Quick history lessson: David Sills, a member of the Class of 2015,  gave a verbal commitment to USC as 7th grader.  Click here to see how that all came about.  Up until Lane Kiffin’s firing, there was no need to really think he’d consider changing his mind.  Now with Kiffin being fired, it’s a legitimate question to ask whether or not he changes his mind on USC.  It will be interesting to see what comes out of the Sills camp in the next few days because you already know that’s the question everybody will be asking.

NOTE: I’ve had the opportunity to see David Sills multiple times during the offseason at 7v7 tournaments since 2011.
