If you thought the Division 1 caliber talent at Imhotep Charter out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated with Dave Williams (South Carolina), Eerin Young (Rhode Island) and others, you would be sadly mistaken. Imhotep currently has at least eight players that already have Division 1 football offers on the roster. Below is a list of Imhotep players who currently hold Division 1 football offers. They actually have few more underclassmen coming through the pipeline that may join this list in the upcoming months.
De’Andre Scott (5’9”, 180 lbs., Defensive Back/Running Back Class of 2014) – Scott has 20-plus offers including: Penn State, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
Nyeem Thrones – (5’9”, 170 lbs., Defensive Back) -Offered by Monmouth, Temple and Buffalo
D.J. Moore – (Wide Receiver, Class of 2015)– Offered by Temple
Randell Hunter (Tight End/Linebacker, Class of 2014)– Offered by Monmouth and Buffalo.
Quadeem Starkes (6’2”, 185 lbs., Free Safety, Class of 2014) – Offered by Massachusetts
Nasir Bonner (5’10”, 180 lbs., Running Back, Class of 2015) – Offered by Massachusetts, Connecticut, West Virginia, and Wisconsin
Aaron Ruff(6’5”, 285, Defensive End/Tackle, Class of 2014) – Comitted to Temple on 4/25/2013
Tyrone Barge (6’2”, 260 lbs., Nose Guard, Class of 2014) – Offered by Youngstown State
Cleezy’s Extra Point: Aaron Ruff committed to Temple, but was also received offers from the likes of Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, and Michigan State among others. Nasir Bonner will be the next “big-time” recruit out of the Philadelphia area at the running back position.
