Everyday until signing day, I will pick out five highlight videos that deserve your immediate attention. Today’s target: The Mid-Penn Football Conference. Here are five players that have highlight videos that showcase their great skills on the football field. (Click name to watch video)
Raekwon Purdy – Wide Receiver – Central Dauphin East – Class of 2014
Why should you watch his tape?
When it comes to returning punts or kicks, few have had a better season than Purdy. Throw in the fact that he is a pretty talented wide receiver as well and you have one of the best playmakers in the MPC. He is a Division One talent for sure.
John Ford – Running Back – Red Land – Class of 2014
Why should you watch his tape?
In this case, Ford is showcasing his return skills. He’s been a stud at running back since he started getting carries towards the end of his sophomore year. He’s probably the fastest kid in the whole league but is getting overlooked for several reasons. Make no mistake about it, the kid can flat-out fly
Tyler Wise – Wide Receiver/Defensive Back – Boiling Springs – Class of 2014
Why should you watch his tape?
Wise is a good athlete who plays on both sides of the ball and is a leader for the Boiling Springs football team. He’s underrated as a wide receiver but has more than held his own during the 2013 season. He has good size and great hands. Playing his natural position this year, Wise has definitely shown what he can do on the football field.
Darian Davis-Ray- Running Back – Harrisburg – Class of 2014
Why should you watch his tape?
Speed? Check. Power? Check. Cutting ability? Check. If Davis-Ray had a lot of fanfare coming into the 2013 season, his name would ring more bells. However, Davis-Ray has earned a lot of people’s respect and attention with his incredible play throughout this season. He is a very exciting running back to watch and will pick up more Division One offers in the upcoming months.
Andrew Ford – Quarterback – Cedar Cliff – Class of 2014
Why should you watch his tape?
You should watch it because he’s the best quarterback in Pennsylvania and has been putting up great numbers. Ford has been playing with a banged up shoulder (might be two by now) for most of the year but that hasn’t stopped the Air Ford show one bit. Ford certainly has the “juice”.
