Headed into the 2013 season, Nasir Bonner was expected to pick up where David Williams (now at South Carolina) left off. That’s a tall task for anyone, but through two scrimmages and the first two regular season games, Bonner has shown that he’s more than up to the task. Bonner has also shown that he’s a good running back in his own right and that there’s no need for comparisons to Williams. Bonner shares the backfield with all-everything athlete DeAndre Scott (37 offers and counting). Through the first two games, Bonner has rushed for194 yards off of 20 carries with four touchdowns. Those are pretty good numbers on a very talented Imhotep offensive unit that spread the ball around to several playmakers. Bonner currently has several offers from schools such as West Virginia, UConn, and Wisconsin.
Below are some of his highlights from the first two games of the 2013 season.
