Preps.com has learned that one of New York’s best defensive backs, Darin Peart of Erasmus Hall, has given a verbal commitment to play football at Stony Brook University in the fall of 2014. Preps.com received a text from his defensive back coach, Ray Lizzi, earlier tonight informing us of the news. Not only is Peart one of the best defensive backs in the state of New York, but he’s also one of the more underrated defensive backs in the Northeast. Here are highlights of the 5’10”, 170 pound Peart from the 2012 season. Preps.com will keep you updated on Peart during the 2013 season.
