There have been a good number of defensive lineman prospects coming out of the Philadelphia area within the past few years. Most recently there’s been Shareef Floyd (George Washington/Florida/Minnesota Vikings), Justin Moody (George Washington/Pittsburgh Panthers), and recently Shareef Miller (currently a junior at Frankford High School with 12 offers including: Arizona, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia and others). The next one up just may well be Karamo Dioubate, currently a sophomore, of Prep Charter High School in Philadelphia.
Karamo Dioubate, listed at 6’4″, 250 pounds, has the makings of being a big-time college prospect. Dioubate recently ran a laser-timed forty-yard dash in 4.87 seconds at the Nike Sparq Combine in New Jersey last weekend. In 2013, opponents found it nearly impossible to run any plays towards his side with any type of success.
Dioubate is explosive coming out of his stance. When you combine that with his power, he is almost impossible to block without a double-team. He sheds blockers like they aren’t even there and can be terrifying to quarterbacks and running backs when he’s pursuing them to make a tackle. Dioubate stays on his feet and has great lateral quickness.
Dioubate should be a house hold name in recruiting circles before it’s all said and done. Check out Dioubate causing complete chaos in his 2013 season highlight video.
