Sometimes the best players don’t always get their just due for reasons beyond their control. Right now, one of the best players in Pennsylvania without an offer is Susquehanna Township’s Takhi Turner. Schools have been impressed with his film, but no one has pulled the trigger on an offer at this time. Turner can both cover (8 picks in 2012) as well as tackle, making him one of the best safeties in Pennsylvania.
Turner is currently receiving interest from Temple, Maryland, Rutgers, Towson, UMass, and Boston College. Turner said, “I’m going to Temple and Rutgers football camps in the next couple of weeks, but I don’t know about the rest yet.” It’ll be interesting to see if Temple ends up pulling the trigger. Temple currently has one of Turner’s former teammates on the team, defensive tackle Averee Robinson.
Below is Turner’s 2012 season highlight video.
