Greensburg Central Catholic’s Nate Stone recently received his first two offer earliesr this week from Cornell University and the University of Penn. The 6’0”, 225-pound Linebacker piled on 112 tackles, forced 7 fumbles, made 2 fumble recoveries, and had an interception during his monstrous 2012 season. Stone also earned All-League honors as a 1st team Linebacker. While being a very solid Tight End as well, he knows that he’ll be playing Linebacker at the next level. “I am a leader, on and off the field”, said Stone. “I am a student of the game and I’m always willing to learn. I hit hard and I read plays well.”
Stone certainly has a very busy schedule ahead of him in the upcoming weeks. Even though he has one offer from Cornell, there are other schools that are currently showing interest in him. Stone is also catching the eyes of Villanova, Youngstown State, Temple, Penn, Princeton, and Lafayette. To showcase his talents, Stone will be playing in the King of the Spring 7v7 Tournament at Duquesne on May 25, 2013. He also will be attending the following prospect camps: Duquesne (May 30th), Temple (June 2nd), Youngstown State (June 10th), Pitt (June 14th), Ohio State (June 21st), Villanova (June 27th), Princeton (July 13th), and Penn (July 20th).
