When it comes to high school 7v7’s between local teams, the response is usually “ho-hum”. When it comes to a 7v7 between two of Central Pennsylvania’s best high school football programs, Susquehanna Township and Harrisburg, the interest goes up notch or two. When the two teams get together later on this evening for a 7v7 match-up, there will be some special visitors in attendance.
Preps.com has learned that the following schools will have coaches in attendance: Eastern Michigan, Temple, Buffalo, Delaware, UMass, Shippensburg, and Kutztown. Both teams have at least one player with Division 1 offers in Running Back Rob Martin of Harrisburg (14 total including Pitt, Arizona, West Virginia) and Lawrence Holley of Susquehanna Township (Colgate, Lafayette, and Old Dominion). Both teams also have seniors that are currently receiving Division 1 looks including: Takhi Turner (Susquehanna Township, DB), Jordan Millberry (Susquehanna Township, DB), Darian Davis-Ray (Harrisburg, DB), Joe Adams (Harrisburg, LB) and Carlos Balkcom (Harrisburg, DB).
The 7v7 will take place at Susquehanna Township at 5 p.m. tonight. Preps.com will have a report on the 7v7 in the upcoming days.
