It’s about time! That’s what Susquehanna Township’s Takhi Turner is probably saying after finally reeling in his first full-scholarship offer from the University of Maine this past Wednesday.  The 6’0″, 200 pound safety confirmed the news after replying to a text sent from PREPS.COM.

Cleezy’s quick take: Turner is simple a football player.  Primarily a strong safety, Turner showed that he had some offensive ability as well as he became an import part of Susquehanna Township’s rushing attack during the 2013 season.  Turner is good in coverage and an absolute beast when it comes to stopping opposing ballcarriers with his tackling ability.  His height at the safety position may have been a detriment for some college coaches but I see no downside in taking a chance on somebody like Turner. He’s a big-time competitor, a hard-hitter, and a general on the field.
