PREPS recently had a chance to talk with 2015 PA QB Alex Hornibrook about the current status of his recruitment.  Hornibrook currently holds an offer from Akron, but he may be on the verge of getting another one in the upcoming weeks.

“Last week I visited Tennessee and yesterday I visited Massachusetts”, said Hornibrook.  The signal-caller from Malvern High School says that he will be setting up some dates for schools to come and see him throw the football in the springtime.   Don’t be surprised if Massachusetts is the next school to offer Hornibrook.

“Coach (Spencer)Whipple said that they really liked my film and that I can definitely play”, said Hornibrook.  “I also spoke with Coach (Liam) Cohen (quarterback coach) and he also liked what he saw of me on tape and that I am a guy that they might offer”.  Hornibrook is already familiar with Cohen due to having met him during a camp at Vanderbilt last year.

Hornibrook liked what he saw from Massachusetts on the offensive side of the ball.  He offered this: “I like the offense that they run now. In the past, they have ran the spread. This year they are putting in a pro-style offense.  I liked the way they ran it during the scrimmage portion of their practice”.

Hornibrook has a visit scheduled to Rutgers University for this upcoming weekend.
