There were several great candidates up for the Preps.com Mid-Penn Offensive, Defensive, and MVP of the week for Week 1. The criteria is simple. I either have to have seen your game or some type of video of your performance.
WEEK 1 Offensive Player of the Week – Brandon Kuntz – WR – Senior – Trinity H.S.
Kuntz had a monster performance in a week 1 loss against Delone Catholic. Kuntz had 11 catches for 221 yards and 3 touchdowns. Kuntz has scored a total of 8 touchdowns in the past two weeks if you count his two scrimmages.
WEEK 1 Defensive Player of the Week -Tyler Heisey- Cumberland Valley – Senior – Cumberland Valley H.S.
Heisey had a very active Friday night against Red Lion last week. Heisey accounted for 13 tackles while rushing for almost 100 yards and 3 touchdowns. If that isn’t iron man football, I don’t know what is.
WEEK 1 MVP – Andre Robinson – RB – Junior – Bishop McDevitt H.S.
Robinson performed the best on what was the biggest stage in the Mid-Penn conference last week by rushing for over 120 yards and four touchdowns in a win against Harrisburg.
