With National Signing day less than two weeks away, most schools are finishing up their recruiting classes and getting recruits ready to sign. For Central Catholic’s Tre Tarpley, it appears as though he is going to have a quick decision to make regarding which school he wants to attend.
Tre is now up to 19 offers, most of which came before the season and most are 1-AA schools. Tarpley had a goal to prove to BCS teams he was deserving of a scholarship. Goal completed. Tarpley was one of the defensive leaders of Central Catholic’s stout defense that won them a WPIAL championship before losing to St. Joe’s in the state title game.
As of now Tarpley has 3 BCS offers, coming from Vanderbilt, Boston College, and Temple. Temple was the first to offer a few moths back. Both BC and Vandy came within the week. Tarpley is scheduled to visit BC the 31st and is having an in-home visit tonight with Vanderbilt. This week he’ll be at Temple, but with lead recruiter Terry Smith moving on to Penn State, it’s looking like it’s down to Boston College as the favorite with Vanderbilt a little behind.
Preps.com will continue to keep a close eye on Tre’s recruitment. Below are Tre’s Senior year highlights.
