While going through tape looking for sleepers on preps.com’s very own WPIAL Top Prospect List, nobody turned our heads more than Seneca Valley’s Tyler Hudanick, skyrocketing his ranking to #3 in the WPIAL behind the likes of Jordan Whitehead and PJ Fulmore. Colleges soon after started to show heavy interest.
Hudanick is a physical specimen at 6’5 285 pounds. What we love most about him is the tenacity he brings in the trenches and his reckless abandonment to show no mercy to opposing defenses. Turn on the tape and you’ll see a bonafide blue-chipper.
2 days after Balwin Offensive Tackle Sterling Jenkins was wowed by Penn State, preps.com finds out another prolific WPIAL tackle is very high on Penn State in Hudanick.
Recruitment has started to heat up for Hudanick. He has already received his first offer from Toledo. Other schools such as Penn State, Temple, Northwestern, and Boston College have been showing strong interest.
When asked about which school would be his dream school, Hudanick was quick to respond with, “Just growing up with all Penn State grads in the family, I would say I’d love to go to PSU!”
After a miscommunication between Hudanick’s coach and Penn State, Tyler failed to attend PSU’s Junior Day. The coaches made sure everything was resolved and Hudanick is set to visit Happy Valley come the first week of spring ball.
It is rumored that Penn State has Hudanick pretty high on their board despite no offer as of now. There’s no doubt Hudanick will start receiving heavy interest fairly soon. For more updates check back here at preps.com for the latest info.
