Baldwin OT Sterling Jenkins is regarded by many as the top linemen in the state. With potential through the roof, many colleges have made Jenkins a priority.
Penn State is one of those schools. Jenkins took an unofficial to Penn State this weekend and loved it. He was there with fellow linemen Eric McAllister and Ryan Bates. Bates, an ArchBishop Wood tackle, went on to commit today. McAllister also spoke highly of Penn State today, saying, “It’s definitely going to be hard to top this visit…”
Jenkins went on to say, “This is the best visit I’ve been on.” So far, he has only visited Pitt and Penn State. He would decline to comment on if Penn State is higher than Pitt on his list. He did, however, comment to say “Wowed may be an understatement.”
When asked thoughts on the coaching staff, he responded with, “They’re amazing people and I already really like them.”
It looks as though Happy Valley left a strong impression with Jenkins today, ending the conversation with, “Penn State was the place to be today.” For more information regarding Jenkins’ recruitment, be sure to check back here at Preps.com.
