A&M, Aggies, college football, Heisman winner, Johnny Football, Johnny Manziel
The talk of the college football offseason has been the off field environments Johnny Manziel has put himself in. Manziel was the first freshman to win the Heisman, dominating the SEC in A&M’s inaugural season in the conference. Media outlets have shown that Manziel enjoys the party scene, which a normal 20 year old college student usually finds themselves in.
There is nothing wrong with going to parties as a college student, but are his behaviors taking away his reputation on the football field?
Manziel was released from the Manning Passing Academy early, he claims because of a missed alarm and dehydration, other media sites suspect the Heisman winner was out boozing till the early morning the night before. He then was photographed about a week ago in a bar around girls that were holding champagne. Recently, it surfaced that Manziel went to a Texas frat party. Unfortunately for him, the Longhorn faithful weren’t having any Aggies in their party, Heisman winner or not.
Manziel then went to twitter where he was receiving some negative remarks from fans all over the nation about his behavior the last month. Instead of ignoring the foolish tweets sent to him, Manziel took it upon himself and responded to a few of them. He has since deleted his tweets to the fans, but he had three of them, and from my recollection, he responded to a Longhorn fan who said something along the lines of “Us Longhorns don’t allow Aggies in our parties, it’s called a rivalry” Manziel then responded saying “We didn’t play each other last year moron.”
Manziel then tweeted a few tweets to the public, to let them know exactly what he thinks about his off-field actions.
Last time I checked double digit win columns and championships are what matters.

He finally added one last tweet to top it off:
"Just Win, Baby"

It is clear that Manziel feels that as long as he is winning, he should not be scrutinized for his off-field actions. And as long as Johnny Football is winning, I have no problem with him living this kind of lifestyle. Heck, even if A&M doesn’t do as great, I still have no problem with him living this lifestyle. If Manziel wants to live a rockstar lifestyle, let him. It could be fun to see such a prolific QB with character such as Manziel’s in the night scene.
