Malik Hooker Gives Pledge to the Buckeyes

When Malik Hooker first came on PREPS.COM‘s radar, it was because he was a stellar hooper. All that has changed within a year.
Hooker started playing football again, his first time playing since the 8th grade, boy was that a life changing decision. Hooker starred at New Castle last year as a junior, and quickly became a blue chipper once his film hit the circuit. He gained over 20 offers in the summer alone. He was by far one of the most dominant 7 on 7 players we saw this year, making the most spectacular plays you’d see from a high schooler.
Hooker had offers from all over the country. He named a Top group of Ohio State, Pitt, Penn State, and Michigan. He has since trimmed the list to just one: THE Ohio State Buckeyes. They recruited him as an athlete and it is undetermined which side of the ball he will play on. Hooker is also a D-1 hooper, but when we talked to him earlier in the week, he stated he’s only playing football in college.
Hooker adds to Ohio State’s already ridiculous recruiting class. For more updates, check back here at blog.preps.com
