Baldwin OT Sterling Jenkins already has a number of BCS offers still as a junior. That number looks to continue to climb. Jenkins, who already has compiled an offer list including the likes of Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan; is just getting warmed up.
This 2015 offensive tackle stands at a towering 6 foot 8 weighing 305 pounds. What makes Jenkins so unique (as if his size isn’t unique enough), is his athletic ability, his ability to get downfield, and his quick feet that is vital for an elite offensive tackle to possess. What makes Jenkins so great, is he has yet to peak in performance. It is very clear Jenkins is still raw as a tackle and has the frame to gain even more weight. As of now, Jenkins isn’t the strongest tackle, but obviously there is a lot of time for him to strengthen his upper body.
As for his recruitment now, Jenkins has Penn State and Michigan at the top of his list. Not far behind, he has Pitt, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. His recruitment is far from over and will continue to develop.
Jenkins led his team on the offensive line this year to a playoff berth. They unfortunately got knocked out after round 1, but it was considered a successful season. Look for Jenkins to gain more weight and strength as his senior year approaches and for him to asert himself as the most dominant offensive tackle in PA.
It is clear there is a lot of untapped potential for Jenkins. With some more refinement, Jenkins could be the most forceful linemen in PA.
Below are highlight from junior year.
