Tre Tipton Makes His Case for the Top 2015 Playmaker in PA

Apollo Ridge’s own Tre Tipton might just be the state of PA’s best kept secret. After doing his sophomore tape last year, preps.com knew Tipton would follow it up with a spectacular Junior season. He did not disappoint.
Tipton has been somewhat flying under the radar as of now. This 6’2 crazy athletic receiver should have already received some offers. There’s no doubt he’ll end up with 20+ by time his Senior season rolls around. He has already been receiving some early interest from the likes of Pitt and Penn State, but nothing too serious.
When asked if he wants to stay close or leave, Tre said both have their advantages and he wouldnt be opposed to leaving, though he did mention he would love for his family to see him every week if he stayed close. He also stated he plans to visit many colleges and take his officials before deciding so his recruitment has ways to go. He’s still very early in the process.
What makes Tipton so great, are his reliable hands and his ability to high point the football when its in the air. Tipton will also pull some moves that will leave defenders’ ankles broken. Tipton always seems to be getting behind the defense, making him that much more versatile. If that wasn’t enough, we didn’t even mention where Tipton shines at: in the red zone. If Tipton lines up in 1 on 1 coverage near the goal line, you can bet your wallet in your pocket he’ll come down with the ball.
Tipton is quickly becoming a preps.com favorite, and the tape below shows why. For more updates, be sure to check back here or follow us on twitter @wpial_insider or @finestpreps.
