Whitehead Hears from Notre Dame

Big news came to Central Valley today as star CB Jordan Whitehead received a scholarship offer from Notre Dame. Whitehead is the best player in the state according to many credible sources. Here at preps.com, it was a long debate but we edged him at #2 on our WPIAL Top Prospect List. There’s no doubt he’s the most college-ready athlete in the state and will make an impact immediately wherever he goes.
When asked if this offer would plunge ND into his top 5 Whitehead played it safe. “They can be. I’m not sure about anything right now.”
Preps.com looked at Whitehead’s recruitment in depth last week. Penn State and West Virginia seem to be the early favorites with Pitt and Ohio State not far behind. This new Notre Dame offer could change everything.
It’s clear Whitehead is taking his recruitment slow. We’ll keep you updated on Whitehead’s recruitment as more information gathers.
