FinestPreps has promised to deliver you not only some of the nation’s elite football recruits but some of the top “under-the-radar” players as well.

Today we take a look toward the South–the state of South Carolina.

While it is summer in the Palmetto State and the temperatures are undoubtedly skyrocketing, things have also started to heat up for one of their very own high school football prospects.

This behemoth of a man tips the scales at 6’0″, 251 pounds and is oozing with potential at a few different positions on the offensive line.

Who’s the mauler in the trenches that is blessed with remarkably good footwork?

Look no further than Hillcrest High School (Simpsonville, South Carolina) offensive lineman Jarele Finley.

While Finley might currently be undersized for the offensive line at the Division I-A level at 251 pounds, one thing is abundantly clear from watching his highlight tape: he’s blessed with a tremendous amount of potential at the position.

He’s still very raw at the position in many ways but many college coaches love to see that because they can mold them at the next level and ensure they don’t form any bad habits.

When watching his tape, it reminds me of controlled chaos because Finley might be out of position but recovers quite nicely due to his excellent footwork.

He’s also very strong and flattens opposing defenders numerous times throughout his highlight package below.

Another excellent part of his game is that his footwork allows him to slide to the edge extremely well.

He often rides the defender past the pocket–which ensures a premium amount of protection for his signal-caller.

The biggest asset Finley has is his footwork and plenty of college football coaches have started to take notice.

Even though he doesn’t currently have any scholarship offers–Finley is fielding interest from a variety of programs: Georgia Tech, Stillman, Georgia Southern, Florida Tech, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, West Georgia, and Occidential.

Blessed with remarkable footwork and tons of potential–Finley is definitely a Division I-A caliber football player in my eyes.

Look for the recruitment process for this talented behemoth to heat up sometime in the future!
