The state of Pennyslvania is loaded with high school football talent and FinestPreps.com is happy to introduce another one of the most talented members in the Keystone State.

Meet Deaysean Rippy–a 6’2, 210 pound athlete out of Sto Rox (McKees Rocks, Pa.).

Rippy has seen the scholarship offers from a variety of schools across the country come pouring in this spring.

His scholarship offer list has climbed into the double digits and he’s certainly not short on college options.

Alabama, Florida, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, USC, Syracuse, and West Virginia are the schools that have offered him so far.

Rippy combines a rare blend of speed and power in the open field.

As a receiver, he’s extremely tough to bring down from behind and uses his leg power to make it tougher for defenders to tackle him.

As a linebacker, he’s super quick off the line of scrimmage and is a highly disruptive force in the backfield.

It’s no secret why he has as many offers as he does–he’s a big time playmaker on both sides of the ball.

As a junior, Rippy racked up 77 tackles and seven sacks from the linebacker position.

As a receiver, he hauled in 20 catches for 530 yards (26.5 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns.

FinestPreps.com caught up with the talented class of 2012 prospect to discuss his college football recruitment process recently.

Below is the interview.

FinestPreps.com Interview with Sto Rox LB Deaysean Rippy

FinestPreps.com: First off Deaysean talk about how the college football recruitment process is going for you.

Deaysean Rippy: “It’s going great. I’m loving every minute of it.”

FinestPreps.com: Is the college football recruitment process getting overwhelming for you? Are you able to handle all of the attention pretty well?

Deaysean Rippy: “Not really. I’m just kind of taking everything one at a time. Every 16, 17 year old kid would definitely love it so I really have no problem.”

FinestPreps.com: Do you have any favorites at this point Deaysean?

Deaysean Rippy: “I really don’t have favorites. There are some that stand out but I really don’t have favorites. Florida stands out to me.”

FinestPreps.com: What do you like about Florida, Deaysean?

Deaysean Rippy: “Just pretty much the whole program. I visited with them–I wanna say last summer. It was just a good experience. The players welcomed my family with open arms–good players, good coaches. They’re pretty much from the same kind of roots that I’m from.”

FinestPreps.com: When do you think you’ll make a decision as far as the college football recruiting process is concerned Deaysean?

Deaysean Rippy: “I may have to make it soon. I’m planning to be a mid-year player so I plan on doing it real soon.”

FinestPreps.com: So you’re planning on enrolling in January of 2012?

Deaysean Rippy: “Yes.”

FinestPreps.com: What’s the biggest thing you’re trying to improve in your game heading into next season?

Deaysean Rippy: “You know what, I really don’t know. Nothing at this moment. I’m not gonna say there’s nothing that I can improve on. You can always get better. So far I’m just going to have to see during the season what I need help on and what I can improve on.”
