When it comes to some of the hottest names in the college football recruiting game–FinestPreps has you covered!

Speaking of heating up–Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, Pa.) quarterback Dakota Conwell has been burning up the recruiting trail as of late.

A few weeks ago–he was named MVP at the linebacker position at the Penn State Nike Camp in State College, Pa.

His eye-opening performance at the Nike Camp certainly opened the eyes of several college coaches.

The talented linebacker has already pulled in three scholarship offers.

Who are the teams that are in hot pursuit of Conwell’s services?

Toledo, Temple, and Pitt all have extended verbal scholarship offers to him.

Conwell is listed at 6’2, 210 pounds and he’s one of the more talented two-way players you will find in the 2012 recruiting class.

Toledo and Pitt are recruiting him as a linebacker and Temple is recruiting him as a quarterback.

His lead recruiter for the Temple Owls is Scot Loeffler–their quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator.

It’s easy to see why all those teams would want to play him at either position when you turn on his highlight tape.

As a linebacker, Conwell is extremely explosive off the line of scrimmage and disrupts plays in the backfield quite easily.

Last year–he racked up 61 tackles, four sacks, and one interception for Upper St. Clair.

His exploits as a linebacker were enough to land him AAAA first team all-state honors at that position according to the Pennyslvania Sportswriters.

A dynamic dual-threat quarterback as well, Conwell is one of the most gifted dual threat quarterbacks in the state of Pennsylvania.

Last season he shredded opposing defenses on the ground (1,080 rushing yards) and through the air (920 passing yards).

He’s got a remarkable blend of vision, speed, and power that allowed him to blaze his way to the tune of 2,000 all-purpose yards last year.

Blessed with excellent bloodlines–Conwell’s father (Dane Conwell) played fullback for West Virginia in college.

Look for more offers to come in the future for the talented two-way player!
